Children play in the Lido on Parliament Hill Fields, Hampstead Heath - Photograph

The Lido in Parliament Hill Fields, Hampstead Heath, was a popular place for children and adults to spend sunny days. The open-air unheated 60-metre pool and fountain opened in 1938. Visitors sunbathed and picnicked on the terraced surrounds. In 1999 the site was protected through a Grade II listing.
