Great White City - poster

Description:
Merryland opened in 1912 as part of the Great International Exhibition of the Latin and British Nations. Promoted as a 'wonderful street of adventure', it was the recreational centrepiece of White City and housed a number of attractions. As well as an improved revolving Flip-Flap ride it also included new thrill rides such as The Roly-Poly, that rolled visitors in large tubs; the Dingle Dongle racing swings, and the Boomerang that turned and twisted riders up and down.
