Description:
This Standard No 7 Remington typewriter was used in the offices of the Sanitary Engineering Company, 108 Victoria Street, Westminster, SW1. The introduction of typewriters transformed office work. Painstaking tasks previously carried out by hand were now completed in a few minutes. The first Remington adverts declared 'to save time is to lengthen life'.
