Description:
Issued by the 'London Evening Standard', this billboard refers to the bombing of Harrods department store by the terrorist group, the Irish Republican Army (IRA). Five people were killed and 80 wounded by the bomb that exploded outside the Knightsbridge store on 17 December 1983. During the 1980s and 90s, London and its inhabitants were the target of a series of bomb attacks and shootings carried out by the IRA. High-profile targets included the Old Bailey, Pall Mall and Westminster Hall.
