jacket; shooting jacket

A member of the London Stock Exchange Rifle Club donated this leather shooting jacket. The badges sewn on the back record competitions he took part in. 'The jacket and badges symbolise two of the cultural driving forces of our members: a competitive spirit and the desire to make new friends at different clubs. Sport has always helped to break down cultural barriers and provide a channel to foster good relations. These objectives must be carried forward into the next Millennium.' The Stock Exchange Rifle Club was founded in 1901. It had 120 members in 2000.
