Conductor Parris on board a Routemaster bus - photograph
- Of the hundreds of bus staff taken on by London Transport (L.T.) from the West Indies, many went on to successful careers in other fields. However, there are many men and women who continued to work for L.T. until their retirement. A positive recruitment policy created a diverse workforce at L.T. This was reflected in a London Transport Museum exhibition of 1989 called 'Bus Crew'. This picture is of Conductor Parris who worked on route 31. The photo was taken for use in the exhibition. Parris is on board a Number 31 Routemaster bus near Westbourne Grove.
